The new hofstader.com web site is dedicated to dispelling myths about disability, shining light on pseudo scientific bogus remedies for incurable diseases that lead to disabilities, coverage of real scientific findings in regarding disabilities, access technology (especially free software tools for people with disability), promoting accessibility and human and civil rights for people with disabilities. We will be working on the site and expect it will be online in a skeleton form pretty soon.
The hofstader.com web site is being managed by accessibility expert and long time blogger, Chris Hofstader. In addition to the items mentioned above, this will be the new home for Gonz Blinko and his fiction and will ultimately be the new home for the recently dormant Blind Confidential blog which, for now at least, you can still read at blindconfidential.blogspot.com.
We are actively seeking people with disabilities other than blindness to help produce content for the site. We have a lot of expertise and lots of friends with vision impairments but need help with most other disabilities. Please send us a note via our contact form if you want to help out or just make some suggestions.
